저도 TV이나 영화에서 본듯 하고 여기에 와서 알게된 클럽들입니다.

주로 명예회원(Honor Society) 위주로 소개하겠습니다.

내셔널 아너스 소사이어티(National Honor Society-국립협회 명예회원) - 모범 학생 모임 같은 느낌이더라고요.

National Honor Society는 모범적인 학생들을 표창하고 기념합니다. 이 조직은 봉사(service), 인격(character), 학문(scholarship), 리더십(leadership)이라는 네 가지 원칙을 기반으로 합니다. National Honor Society 학생들은 지역 사회 봉사 프로젝트를 수행해야 합니다. 학생들은 항상 책임감 있고 윤리적으로 행동해야 합니다. 또 3.5 이상의 누적 GPA(평균 학점)를 유지해야 하고 우수한 학문적 성과와 리더로 역할을 강조합니다.

The National Honor Society recognizes and celebrates exemplary students. The organization is based on four principals: service, character, scholarship, and leadership. National Honor Society students are expected to complete community service projects. They are expected to conduct themselves responsibly and ethically at all times. They are expected to exhibit academic excellence by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater and they are expected to be leaders within their school and community.

주니어월드어페어 카운슬(Junior World Affairs Council) - 한국에는 없는 모임같아요!

 

ILTexas 주니어세계문제협의회(ILT-JWAC)은 ILTexas학생들이 국제 문제에 대한 통찰력과 이해 및 정보를 얻도록 하고 있습니다. ILT-JWAC는 달라스/포트워스 지역 세계문제협의회의 국제교육이니셔티브와 연계되어 있습니다. The International Leadership of Texas Junior World Affairs Council (ILT-JWAC) will help ILT students gain the insight, understanding and information to keep abreast of international affairs. ILT-JWAC will be linked to the International Education Initiative of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.

Model United Nations (모의 유엔)

 

모의 UN 시뮬레이션에는 매년 수십만 명의 학생들이 참여하여 UN의 원칙과 그 기능에 대해 더 많이 배울 수 있도록 돕습니다. UN 자체를 포함하여 오늘날 법률, 정부, 비즈니스 및 예술 분야의 많은 지도자들이 학생 자격으로 Model UN에 참여합니다. 실제 미국에서는 각 학교별 지역, 주, 국가 단위로 학생대표들이 모여 모의 유엔을 진행합니다.

Model UN simulations engage hundreds of thousands of students each year, helping them to learn more about the principles of the UN and how it functions. Many of today’s leaders in law, government, business and the arts – including at the UN itself – participated in Model UN as students.

학생회(Student Council) - 저희 학교 대부분 특별행사는 학생들이 준비하고 기획, 운영합니다

학생회는 학교 특별활동과 행사를 조직하고 준비 진행함으로써 학생들에게 리더십을 개발할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다. 지역 사회 봉사와 학교의 특색을 살리는 행사를 기획하는 것 외에도 학생회는 학생들의 목소리를 대변 합입니다. The mission of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.

국립무용예술협회 명예회원(National Honor Society for Dance Arts)

​

저희는 이번 학기에 전국 무용 예술 명예 협회(National Honor Society for Dance Arts)의 첫 활동을 시작했습니다. 명예 회원이 되려면 최소 GPA 3.0과 함께 댄스 수업, 리허설, 공연, 워크숍 또는 커뮤니티 서비스에 대해 30점 이상 평가를 받아야 합니다. Last week our dance program had their very first induction ceremony into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. To be inducted you must accumulate 30 points for dance classes, rehearsals, performances, workshops or community services alongside a minimum GPA of 3.0. Thank you to Coach Martinez for making this happen and to all who continue to show and support us in our journey
